Saïd Taghmaoui
Saïd Taghmaoui (born 19 July 1973 in Villepinte, France) is a French- American film actor.
Biography
Saïd Taghmaoui was raised in a large family with nine siblings and grew up in a suburb of Paris; he has Moroccan roots. He left school to become a boxer and eventually reached second place in his weight class.
Later he learned to know Mathieu Kassovitz and co-wrote with him the film La Haine. The film, in which Taghmaoui plays a starring role, discussed the racism and violence, triggered by multicultural conflicts in the French suburbs. Saïd Taghmaoui was nominated in 1996 for his role in La Haine for a César as " The most promising actor ".
Since 2008 Taghmaoui has in addition to its French and the American citizen.
