SAIDI
The System Average Interruption Duration Index ( SAIDI ) is used as an indicator of the reliability of electricity supply companies. SAIDI is the average outage duration per -Powered consumers and is calculated as follows:
Here is the number of consumers and the annual downtime in space ( district, city, ...). In other words,
SAIDI is measured in units of time, usually in minutes or hours. Usually a year are calculated. IEEE Standard 1366-1998, the average for North America is about 1.5 hours. According to the Federal Network Agency are the German values at about 15 minutes ( 2009) and 17 minutes ( 2008).
