Sainey Nyassi

Sainey Nyassi ( born January 31, 1989 in Bwiam ) is a Gambian footballer who is active as a midfielder for New England Revolution in Major League Soccer.

Club career

After good performances in the U-20 World Cup in 2007, he signed in September 2007 along with his Gambian teammate Abdoulie Mansally a contract with the New England Revolution.

His league debut came on September 9, 2007 game against DC United when he came on in the 82nd minute. He scored his first goal on 29 March 2008 in a 3-0 win over Houston Dynamo.

National

So far Nyassi played for various youth national teams of Gambis. He took part in 2007 in the FIFA U -20 World Cup.

His twin brother, Sanna Nyassi, also plays in Major League Soccer at Montreal Impact.
