Saint Benjamin the Deacon and Martyr

Benjamin of Persia (* 400, † 424) is a Christian martyr.

Benjamin was born in Persia. After he was ordained in the Christian Church as a deacon, he began missionary work in his homeland. After he was taken to have 422-423 taken into custody, he began again after his release with the announcement. Then it did the king Bahram V arrested and executed under torture. The skewers used in his assassination meant that thorns and brambles among its attributes.

In the Catholic Church March 31, however, is valid March 30 as his name day, in the Orthodox Church.
