Saint Etienne is a British band that was founded in 1990 by Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs and is based in London. They are named after the successful French football club AS Saint- Étienne.
Musically Saint Etienne move between pop, independent and electronic music, especially on the early releases are numerous borrowings from House and Dance.
