Saint Fina

Fina (* 1238 in San Gimignano, Italy; ibid † March 12, 1253. ) Is patron saint of San Gimignano and is revered as a saint of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Fina was born into a poor family. Even as a child she shared the little food stand at its disposal, in other needy. It led to her parents' house a monastic life. Since she was of weak constitution, she had to endure many diseases. Fina died fifteen years in the odor of sanctity, and was buried in the cathedral of San Gimignano. There is dedicated to her own chapel in the aisle.
