Well known is the town for their appearance, with several stone -roofed old houses as well as for the old castle beside the church in the town center. The church building was heavily damaged in the wars of religion, and the tower dates from the 16th century. This explains the variety of architectural styles on the building, the oldest part is of Roman origin. The entrance to the castle is right next to the east side of the church. It dates from the 15th century and shows the facade of a mansion of the 17th century.

On a hill just outside the town is the Gothic Chapelle du Cheylard. It shows in the interior frescoes from the 14th century with scenes from the life of Jesus and the saints legends. Near the chapel commemorates the ruins of a keep, the remains of a castle of the Gontaut family, at the Seigneurie that existed in this region already in 1178.
