Saint Ghislain

The Holy Gislenus (* first half of the 7th century, † October 9 680 in Ursidongus, today's Saint- Ghislain ) was a clergyman and anchorite in Belgium.

Gislenus was probably of German origin and lived in the County of Hainaut. Today's municipality of Saint -Ghislain, in which he died, was named after him.
