Saint-Julien-Maumont
Saint- Julien- Maumont is a commune with 177 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Corrèze in the Limousin region on the western edge of the Massif Central. It belongs to the district Brive- la -Gaillarde and Canton Meyssac.
History
Saint- Julien- Maumont was created in 1793 by merging the municipalities of Saint -Julien and Maumont. During the Revolution, the place was called Lime -et- Monmont. Today, Saint- Julien- Maumont is divided into two parts: in the valley of the river Maumont is the old settlement. On the plateau above the town, the new settlement, which is mainly inhabited by families who are professionally oriented to Meyssac or Brive- la -Gaillarde.
