Saint Lucia national rugby union team

The rugby union team from St. Lucia represents the Caribbean island country of St. Lucia in the Rugby Union. The team is classified as a national of the third category by the International Rugby Board (IRB ).

History

After the association was founded in 1996 the national team participated for the first time in 2005 on the operation of gambling. The first international match was also a qualifier for the Rugby Union World Cup in 2007. St. Lucia won the game with 36:25 against the selection of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In the next round, a group of four, the team defeated the three other nations but for each and clearly different.
