The Saint Marys Township is one of 14 townships of Auglaize County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 1346 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

The Saint Marys Township is located in the southwest of the Auglaize counties in northwest Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Noble Township, Moulton Township, Washington Township, Van Buren Township, Shelby County, German Township, Franklin Township, Mercer County and Jefferson Township ( Mercer County).

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
