Saint Nonnus

Nonnus of Edessa († 471 ) was a Christian saint. He converted according to legend, later canonized sinner Pelagia. He was the successor to the 449 sold as Bishop of Edessa Ibas of Edessa. Ibas was 451 by the Council of Chalcedon ( in which Nonnus also participants was ) rehabilitated. After the death of Ibas 457 Nonnus was his successor again.

It was also Nonnus Bishop of Heliopolis in Syria.

His feast day is December 2.
