Saint Possidius

Possidius of Calama ( * 370, † to 437, and the exact dates of birth are unknown) was a monk and bishop of Calama in Numidia, as well as students and companions of Augustine of Hippo and lived in the convent.

In the conflict of Augustine against the Donatism and Pelagianism he got his teaching and confessor to the side and wrote after his death (430 AD), various tracts and a relatively incomplete and incorrect Life of Augustine of Hippo, the later of different historians has been added. The biography of Augustine is similar in to the style of the pleadings of his model Suetonius.
