Saint Reparata

Reparata is an early Christian martyr who suffered martyrdom about 250 in Caesarea Maritima in Palestine. The name Reparata comes from Latin and means the Recovered.

Life

The Holy Reparata was executed at the age of 12 years under the Roman emperor Trajan Decius emperor Gaius Messius Quintus in Caesarea (Palestine), according to tradition. She stood by cruel tortures. These included mutilation ( cutting off the breasts and cutting of the intestines ). Legend has it that when the beheading a white dove ascended to heaven.

Your name first appears in the 9th century in an annex to the martyrology of the Anglo-Saxon Benedictine monk, theologian and historian Bede the Venerable.
