Sainte-Maxime

Sainte -Maxime (Santa maxima or Santo Massimo ) is a commune with 13,337 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) on the Côte d' Azur in the Var department in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Geography

Sainte -Maxime is located in the north of the Gulf of Saint- Tropez. The wooded hills of the Massif des Maures which protect it from the Mistral. The climate is mild. As one of the most exclusive residential areas, the Domaine du Golf de Sainte -Maxime and the Domaine de Beauvallon apply.

Twinning

Sainte -Maxime maintains since 1993 a city partnership with Neuenbürg in Baden- Württemberg. Another partnership is with Bellport in Suffolk County in the U.S. state of New York. With Anderlecht in the Belgian region of Brussels Sainte -Maxime combines a treaty of friendship.
