Šajdíkove Humence

Šajdíkove Humence is a municipality in western Slovakia with 1075 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011), which belongs to Okres Senica, a circle of Trnavský kraj.

Geography

The municipality is located in the northern part of the lowlands Záhorská nížina in the traditional landscape Zahorie and south of Myjava. The municipal area is flat and slightly hilly and mostly covered by mixed forests. The center is located at an altitude of 190 m nm and eleven kilometers from Senica away.

At the village there is a sulphurous spring.

Neighboring municipalities are Dojč in the north, Senica in the northeast, Hlboké in the East ( separating the church from the military area Zahorie by a narrow strip ) and Bory Mikuláš ( district Bory Peter ) in the south and west.

History

The municipality was formed in 1926 after spinning off from the congregation Bory Peter (now part of Borský Mikuláš ).

2012 was opened east of the village, the first part of a 220 -acre golf course, which today includes two 18- hole golf courses.

Population

According to the 2011 census lived in Šajdíkove Humence 1,082 inhabitants, of whom 1,041 Slovaks, Czechs and nine respectively a Croat, Moravians and Russine; two residents were of a different ethnicity. 27 inhabitants did not know. 899 inhabitants belonged to the Roman Catholic Church, 29 inhabitants to the Evangelical Church AC, three residents of United Methodist Church and in each case a population of Jehovah's Witnesses, to the apostolic church, the Church of the Brethren, the Greek Catholic Church, the Congregational Church, to Orthodox Church; a resident was other denomination. 73 residents were non-denominational and 71 inhabitants, the denomination has not been determined.
