Sajópetri

Sajópetri is a small town in north-eastern Hungary belongs to the Borsod- Abaúj -Zemplén.

Geographical Location

Sajópetri located 14 kilometers from the county seat, the city Miskolc - in the beginning of the lowlands along the meanders of the river Sajó just before he ( slowak. Hornad ) opens into the Hernád. The name can be translated on Sajó with St. Peter.

The neighboring municipalities are Kistokaj (5 km), on the northeastern bank of the river the slightly larger Sajólád (air line 2 km) and to the south the town Ónod.
