Sakai (Fukui)
Sakai (Japanese坂 井 市, -shi ) is a city in Fukui Prefecture in Japan.
History
The city passed on 20 March 2006 from the merger of the municipalities Harue (春江 町, chō ), Maruoka (丸 冈 町, chō ), Mikuni (三国 町, chō ), Sakai (坂 井 町, chō ) of the district Sakai (坂 井 郡, -gun ) out.
Geography
Sakai is located south of Kanazawa and Fukui north of the Sea of Japan.
