The Sakarya University (Turkish: Sakarya Üniversitesi ) is a public university in the Turkish province of Sakarya capital. It was founded in 1970 as the College of Engineering and Architecture ( Sakarya Mühendislik ve Mimarlık Yüksekokulu ). In 1971, the name change to the "State Academy of Engineering and Architecture in Sakarya " was ( Sakarya Devlet ve Mühendislik Mimarlık Akademisi ). From 1982 to 1992 she was affiliated with the Technical University of Istanbul. Its present form was the university in 1992 with the Act No. 3837th It has approximately 35,000 students one of the great universities of Turkey.
