Sal Buscema

Silvio " Sal" Buscema ( born January 26, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American comic book artist.

Life and work

Buscema began in the mid 1960s to the help of his older brother, the cartoonist John Buscema to work as a technical pen for the U.S. Marvel Comics.

After several years exclusively inked the pencil originals of his brother, Buscema took over with time, increasingly, his own character orders. For Marvel Buscema drew over a period of over 30 years in shows such as Captain America, Incredible Hulk, The Defenders and especially Spiderman. Authors with whom Buscema worked there, were, among others, Steve Enlehart, Len Wein, Roger Stern, Gerry Conway and Steve Gerber.

The most extensive work in Buscemas career was a more than 100 issues total responsibility as a signatory to the series Spectacular Spider- Man from 1988 to 1996.

Mid-1990s, Buscema went into the semi-retirement. Since then he has waived the time-consuming gig as penciler and is limited to once again how. During his early years, is intended to tuschen the works of other artists
