Salem, Sweden

Salem is a part of the municipality ( kommundel ) in the Swedish Stockholm County and the historic province of Södermanland. The town is the capital of the homonymous municipality and together with the community Rönninge Salem, however, is not Tätort. Not far from Salem is the Swedish capital Stockholm.

The place is known for the annual since 2000 march from Salem (Salem marshes ), which was initiated by neo-Nazis in the wake of the murder of Daniel Wretström.

In Salem, there is a medieval church which kyrka Salem.
