Saleta Castro

( María ) Saleta Castro Nogueira (born 3 November 1987 in Cuntis, Pontevedra, Spain ) is a Spanish ( Galician ) professional triathlete and both U23 triathlon champion ( Olympic Distance ) and Long Distance Elite champion of 2010.

Career

Saleta Castro had a sports school in Vilagarcía de Arousa, the Liceo Casino completed, and studied at the Universidade de Vigo. Your very first ETU race she contested on July 20, 2003 in Győr, where she came in fifth for Spain at youth - team competition.

Although Saleta Castro had participated in only three of the ten Spanish Cup competitions in 2009, she was able to secure the 16th place in the Spanish elite ranking. In the Galician Championship 2009 she won the silver medal in the U23 and the bronze medal in the elite category.

2010 Saleta Castro had risen to No. 3 in the Spanish elite ranking and was Galician elite triathlon champion.

Since 2011 Saleta Castro denies only long-distance competitions.

Saleta Castro represents Spain in the Galician club Cidade de Lugo Fluvial and is a permanent member of the Spanish Duathlon and Triathlon Team.
