Saline County (Kansas)

Saline County is a county located in the state of Kansas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Salina.

Geography

The County is located just north-east of the geographic center of Kansas and has an area of ​​1868 square kilometers, of which four square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Ottawa County, Dickinson County, Marion County, McPherson County, Ellsworth County and Lincoln County.

History

Saline County was formed on 15 February 1860. It was named, as well as the district capital, according to the Saline River.
