Salm (Amblève)

The Salm is a tributary of Amel in Belgium in the ( Province of Liège ). The Salm is part of the catchment area of the river Meuse.

The source of Salm is located in the High Fens at Commanster, near the former Belgian- Prussian border.

The Salm initially flows in a southwesterly and westerly direction until it bends to the north, near the village Bovigny. This direction it retains in its further course, leads them through Salmchateux, Grand Halleux and Durbuy, in to the mouth at Trois Ponts.

Between Bovigny and Trois Ponts the railway line Rivage -Trois Ponts runs along the Salm.
