Salomón Lerner Ghitis

Salomón Lerner Ghitis ( born February 4, 1946) is a Peruvian politician. He was Prime Minister of his country in 2011.

It was used after the elections in Peru in 2011 on 28 July of Ollanta Humala as prime minister and resigned on 10 December. With him also his cabinet took as prescribed in Peru, the parting from which a part of the Minister was appointed again in the following Cabinet. The reason a conflict is called the expansion of the activities of Newmont Mining in the gold mine Yanacocha. While Humala is located on a implementation of the approved by the previous government project, Lerner tried to come to an agreement with the affected small farmers in negotiations. Successor as prime minister until July 23, 2012, the Minister of the Interior in the cabinet of Lerner and former military Óscar Valdés.
