Salomon Stricker

Salomon Stricker ( born January 1, 1834 in Waag - Nove Mesto, † April 2, 1898 in Vienna ) was an Austrian pathologist and histologist.

Stricker studied medicine at the University of Vienna and later became an assistant at the Institute of Physiology at Ernst Wilhelm von bridge. In 1862 he qualified as a professor for the subject embryology. 1866 he was appointed as an adjunct for Experimental Research at the Medical Clinic II under Johann von Oppolzer. In 1868 he became an associate professor and director of the Institute for General and Experimental Pathology in Vienna.

Stricker was born in 1872 Full Professor of General and Experimental Pathology at the University of Vienna at the suggestion of Carl von Rokitansky.
