Salsa (sauce)
Salsa is the Spanish word for sauce. In German-speaking using the term salsa usually, when one speaks of the typical Mexican food preparations, which is seasoned with chili and pepper. Also is added caramel sugar. The salsa is usually of sliced tomatoes (red) or tomatillos (green) or chili or hot peppers, onions, garlic and pepper and - made other ingredients - depending on the recipe. An exception is pico de gallo, a traditional salsa, whose ingredients are exclusively raw mixed and served.
