Climbing history

The first ascent experiment was made in 1935 by J. Waller led, British expedition. She came up to an altitude of almost 7,500 m. Previously, the mountain had already been explored in the years 1911 to 1912. 1962 succeeded in the first ascent of a Japanese- Pakistani team led by T. Shidei. The summit was reached on 24 January by the two Japanese A. Saito and Y. Takamura and the Pakistanis RA Bashir on the south-east route.
