Salva, Bistrița-Năsăud
Salvatore (Hungarian Szálva ) is a municipality in the district of Bistrita-Nasaud in Romania.
Location
Salvation lies in the north of Transylvania, about 6 km west of the small town Năsăud at the mouth of the river Sălăuţa in the Great Somes.
History
Salvatore was first documented in 1245.
Population
In the town almost exclusively live Romanians. In the 2002 census, known from the then 2972 inhabitants, four to the Hungarian and the German nationality.
Economy
In Salva there are production sites for the plastics and textiles production.
Traffic
By Salva runs the national road (drum National) DN 17D, branches off to the north, the National Road 17C direction Sighetu Marmaţiei from.
At the southern end of the village closest train station. Salvation is an important railway hub in northern Romania. Here runs the railway line Beclean pe Somes Rodna Veche -, the railway line Salva- Viseu de Jos branches from the in place.

- High above Salvation lies just outside on a mountainside, the monastery Izvorul Tămăduirii.
