Salvadoran Democratic Front

The Frente Democrático Salvadoreño (FDS ) ( German: Salvadoran Democratic Front ) was founded in March 1980 union of democratic organizations in El Salvador.

At the FDS were inter alia the Movimiento Independiente de Profesionales y Técnicos de El Salvador, which involved Movimiento Popular Social Cristiano, the Movimiento Nacional Revolucionario, trade unions, self-employed and a few military. The members of the FDS was also the later presidential candidate of Unión Nacional Opositora, Ernesto Clara Mont.

After only 17 days, the FDS merged with the Coordinadora Revolucionaria de Masa to Frente Revolucionario Democrático.
