Salvatierra de Esca

Salvatierra de Esca is a Spanish municipality ( municipio ) in the Pyrenees foothills in the province of Zaragoza of the Autonomous Community of Aragon. Salvatierra de Esca is part of the Comarca Jacetania. The spot on the river Esca had 2013 211 inhabitants in the year.

History

Salvatierra de Esca was founded in the 13th century to protect the border of Aragon with the Kingdom of Navarre. There are still remnants of the konsakrierten in 876 the monastery of Santa María de Fuenfría present, which was founded by García Iñiguez de Pamplona.
