Salvatore Tatarella

Salvatore Tatarella ( born October 11, 1947 in Cerignola ) is an Italian politician. He was one of the first National Alliance on, then the Popolo della Libertà and since 2011 the party Futuro e Libertà per l' Italia.

After completing his degree in law at the University of Bari practiced Tatarella many years as a lawyer. Politically, he was first employed as a member of the Provincial Council of Foggia and the Regional Council of Puglia. From 1993 to 1999 he was mayor of his home town of Cerignola, later he became deputy mayor of Bari. From 1994 to 1999 he was the first time in the European Parliament, after which he moved to the Italian Parliament, where he served until 2001. After that, he was a member of the Committee of the Regions, before he returned in the European Parliament in 2004. From 2008 to 2009 he was deputy chairman of the delegation there for relations with the countries of Southeast Europe. After the re- Tatar 2009 Ella moved into the executive committee of the Popolo della Libertà, but which he left in 2011 again. Since 25 April 2012, he is in the European Parliament Vice-Chairman of the Delegation for relations with Israel.
