Salvius

Salvius was a slave in Sicily and one of the foremost leaders of the second slave rebellion against the Romans end of the 2nd century BC

How Eunus the first slave revolt took Salvius the title of king and was called following on the Hellenistic monarchy with a Greek name Tryphon. Later, however, he gave himself more roman, wore a purple toga and had lictors with fasces in its wake.

After the death of Salvius Athenion was, his strategist, elected as the new king.
