Salza di Pinerolo

Salza di Pinerolo ( Piedmontese Sansa, Occitan salso ) is an alpine village with 75 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Turin (TO ), Region Piedmont. It is located in the Cozie Alps near the border with France.

The community is a member of the mountain area community Comunità Montana Valli Chisone e Germanasca.

Geography

The place is located in the Valle Germanasca at an altitude of 1245 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of ​​15.44 km ².

Germanasca is a side valley of the Val Cluson and one of the three Waldensian valleys, where the Calvinist lay movement of the Waldenses had their retreat.

The neighboring municipalities are Massello, Perrero and Prali in the same valley and Pragelato in the main valley.
