Salzau

The Salzau is about 8.5 km long stream in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein.
Course
It is next to the Mühlenau one of the two outflows of Selenter lake. At the outlet at Fargau in the Salzau the height of the water level of the lake can be regulated. On their way towards the Baltic Sea it flows into the Passader lake. This leaves them as Hagen Au, including piping in the final meters flowing into the sea between Laboe and stone.
Eponym
The Salzau is named after the district Salzau the community Fargau - Pratjau, the local manor house, which is popularly known Salzau Castle, and native to this country's former cultural center.
