History
Though founded in the Salzburg marionettes is the year 1913, when Anton Aicher, a native of Styria sculptor, realized his passion as a character carvers and lovers of puppet theater in the deed and in Mozart's " Bastien und Bastienne " the people of Salzburg presented his idea of the world of puppets. The Salzburg Marionette Theatre is a kind of small opera house. Location
The 1971 Salzburg -based venue for the puppet theater is a comprehensive 350 seats, held in the baroque style theater. It is located on the right side between Old Town and the Mozarteum in Salzburg State Theater. The building had previously held that " Mirabell " in which the writer James Joyce resided during his five- week long stay in Salzburg in the summer of 1928.
