Sam Aiken

Samuel "Sam" Aiken ( born December 14, 1980 in Clinton, North Carolina ) is a former American professional American football player at the position of wide receiver. He played for the Buffalo Bills, the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League ( NFL).

Career

Aiken attended the James Kenan High School, where he was successful football and basketball players. At the University of North Carolina, he only played football and became a good special team player. In the 2003 NFL Draft, he was selected in the fourth round at 127th place of the Buffalo Bills. He signed a five-year contract. Since he was not caught safe enough for the offense, they left him after the end of the contract negotiations without conditions with other teams. He moved to the New England Patriots and played there again almost exclusively on special teams. In 2009 he was next to Wes Welker, Randy Moss and Julian Edelman increasingly used as a wide receiver.
