Sam De Grasse

Sam De Grasse ( born June 12, 1875 in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada, † November 29, 1953 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA; actually Samuel Alfred de Grasse ) was a Canadian actor.

Life

After his brother Joseph De Grasse had become successful as a director in the film business, followed him Sam De Grasse and played his first role in a 1912 film. By the year 1915, De Grasse played small and larger roles in different genres and embodied most romantic heroes. After playing the role of Senator Charles Sumner in David Wark Griffith's film The Birth of a Nation, Douglas Fairbanks became aware of De Grasse, and put the actor in 1916 in his film The Good Bad Man for the first time. In Allan Dwan's Robin Hood film from 1922 De Grasse embodied the Prince John, while Fairbanks starred in the title role.
