Sam Elliott

Sam Elliott ( * Samuel Pack Elliott on August 9, 1944 in Sacramento, California) is an American actor who was best known for his distinctive voice. For example, Elliott is the narrator in The Big Lebowski.

Life

Elliott studied at Clark College in Vancouver in Washington state. Later he appeared in several plays. Elliott was in the years 1970 to 1971 in the television series Mission: Impossible take to see. He produced the TV movie Conagher (1991 ), for which he also wrote the screenplay and in which he played the lead role. For this role he was nominated for the Golden Globe Film Awards, he won the Western Heritage Award in three categories.

Elliott played in the movie character assassination - Beyond the moral opposite Gary Oldman, Joan Allen and Jeff Bridges in the film We Were Soldiers alongside Mel Gibson. He was often seen in roles in Westerns.

Elliott is married to Katharine Ross since 1984 and has one daughter.
