Sam Leavitt
Sam Leavitt ( born February 6, 1904 in New York; † March 21, 1984 in Los Angeles ) was an American cinematographer.
Life
Sam Leavitt came even as an apprentice at the Paramount Studios on the film and was from the mid 30's camera assistant and a member of the camera crew eg with George Sidney. From the mid- 50s he was regularly engaged as a cinematographer .. While he proved his skills in lavish productions such as " Carmen Jones ," the Academy Award for Best Cinematography received Leavitt for a comparatively sober composition in the case Defiant Ones. Nominated he was also nominated for Exodus and Anatomy of a Murder. In recent years, his professional activity Leavitt worked mainly for television.
