Samantha Bond

Samantha Bond ( born November 27, 1961 in London) is a British actress. She is known for her role as Miss Moneypenny in the four James Bond films starring Pierce Brosnan (1995 to 2002). She was after Lois Maxwell, Caroline Bliss and the third actress who took over this role.

Private life

Bond is the daughter of actor Philip Bond and Pat Sandys. She has two siblings, Abigail and Matthew Bond, who are also actors.

Bond is married to her compatriot and fellow actor Alexander Hanson and has with him a daughter and a son.

Career

Theater

Her acting training, she graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His first stage experience she gained in 1983 in the production of Daisy Pulls Southamptoner it Off. As a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1987 they entered into Christopher Hampton's Les Liaisons Dangereuses play at the Ambassadors Theatre in London. During the Renaissance Shakespeare Festival in 1988, she appeared in several Shakespeare plays, which were produced by the Renaissance Theatre Company, as in Hamlet and As You Like It, also, she took over at the side of Kenneth Branagh to star in Much Ado about Nothing, which was directed by Judi Dench. International brand recognition she received by the role of Miss Moneypenny in the four consecutive James Bond movies GoldenEye (1995 ) Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough ( 1999) and Die Another Day (2002 ) with Pierce Brosnan as protagonists.

She has also appeared in numerous British television series, most famously in the television adaptation of Emma (1996 ) with Kate Beckinsale in the lead role. In 2001, she played the Commissioner Maureen Picasso in the British television crime NSC Manhunt and 2004, the wife of Peter Davison in the dramedy Distant Shores of the transmitter ITV in 2006 some episodes were filmed as a sequel, but not sent until 2008. Since 2007, she appears as a recurring on Sue's sister Auntie Angela in the BBC comedy series Outnumbered. In 2009, she was allowed to represent in the second episode of the biographical television series The Queen Elizabeth II during the early 1970s. In the costume drama series Downton Abbey she was seen from 2010 to 2013 as Lady Rosamund, the sister of Lord Grantham.
