Sami Yusuf

Sami Yusuf (Persian سامی یوسف; * July 1980 in Tehran ) is an English singer, composer and musician of Azerbaijani origin. He became famous for his debut album Al- Moallem ( " The Teacher "). In 2005 he released his second album, My Ummah ( " My Community"). On 28 October 2010 his third album was released, entitled Where Ever You Are.

Biography

He learned several instruments at a young age and began to sing and compose. He studied music at several institutions with renowned composers and musicians including composers from the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Sami Yusuf is a practicing Muslim, his songs address the love of Allah, be, for the Prophet Muhammad and the Muslim. In his music he deals with social and humanitarian issues. His music is successful and best known in the Arab world.
