Saṃskāra

The samskaras (Sanskrit, m., संस्कार, samskara ) are the transition rituals in Hinduism. The tradition knows up to forty samskaras, of which the scribes have twelve special attention. Three are for all " twice-born " required: initiation, marriage, death ritual.
