Samson (Band)

Samson was an English rock band that was founded in 1977 by guitarist and vocalist Paul Samson. The band was one of the pioneering bands in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

History

After their debut album, Survivors in 1979, which still sang Samson, Bruce Dickinson came under the stage name Bruce Bruce joined the band. After 1981 Dickinson left the band and was the singer of Iron Maiden. His successor was the least well -voiced Nicky Moore, who remained faithful to the end of the band.

Other members of the band were bassist Chris Aylmer and drummer Barry Graham ( Artist name: Thunder stick). Graham used an elaborate stage show, he appeared with leather mask and played in a cage. In "Before The Storm" in 1982, drummed Pete Jupp.

The band recorded by Dickinson's departure on regular plates and toured occasionally. With the death of its founder Paul Samson on 9 August 2002 by cancer, the band broke up.

Bassist Chris Aylmer died on 9 January 2007 due to laryngeal cancer. He should have had the idea of the band name.
