Samsung Apps

Samsung Apps is an app store and the same software the company Samsung, which comes standard on the Samsung -compatible smartphones. Currently Samsung Apps offers over 10,000 apps Germany (as of 29 July 2011) for Samsung smartphones. There are more than 13,000 apps just for the bada operating system worldwide.

According to Yvonne Birkel from the PR team of Samsung 11,750 apps for the bada operating system are available. The majority ( 7,185 apps ) is chargeable, 4565 apps, however, are free of charge. In percentage terms, 61% charge, 39 % charge.

Not to be confused are Samsung Apps for smart phones with Samsung Apps for Smart TV sets, a similar service for internet-enabled televisions.

History

The store was launched in September 2009 in the UK, France, Italy and Germany. Meanwhile, the store in over 100 other countries is available. The selection of apps is the world different and varies from country to country.

Success

On September 22, 2010 Samsung announced that after a year of existence, the mark of 10 million downloads in Europe has been exceeded. On 24 March 2011 Samsung Apps has seen 100 million downloads.
