The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a digital camera, which was presented in August 2012 and will be sold in October of this year.

On the Galaxy Camera the operating system Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) is installed. According to the manufacturer it should so nearly represent a full-fledged smartphone. The Galaxy Camera is to follow the trend that more and more photos are uploaded to social networks, like Facebook. With the camera, however, can not make calls.

The camera has a 4.8 inch ( 12.1 cm) touchscreen, WiFi, 3G, 4G LTE, quad -core processor (1.4 GHz ) and 8 GB of internal storage space. In addition, the camera has a 21- times zoom lens which enables a focal length of 23-483 mm. The 16- megapixel CMOS sensor makes ISO 100 up to 3200. The camera also takes full HD videos on (1920x1080 at 30fps ).

In February 2013, Samsung announced a variant of the Galaxy Camera that is equipped only with WiFi. The waiver of a mobile module is to make a lower price possible. So far it is not known when the launch of the camera will take place.
