Samu Haber

Samu Aleksi Haber ( [ ha ː sɑmu bɐ ]; born April 2, 1976 in Helsinki) is a Finnish songwriter, guitarist and frontman of the Finnish band Sunrise Avenue.

Life

Haber's father is from Germany, he was born in Helsinki and also lives there. He has two siblings and is a fan of the Finnish hockey team IFK Helsingfors. Up to the age of 14 he played himself enthusiastic hockey, then finished but his hobby to pay more attention to the music can. In his youth, Haber was guitarist for the heavy metal band Absurdus. He is in a relationship with the Finnish model Vivianne Raudsepp.

Career

In April 1992, Haber founded in Helsinki together with Jan Hohenthal, a Finnish songwriter, the band Sunrise. The group has performed in pubs, at festivals and parties. 1998 Haber moved to Spain. After four years and only a few performances at private Spanish events he moved back to Finland. In October 2001 the band name was changed to Sunrise Avenue. Haber is next to Raul Ruutu is the only original member of the band. In summer 2012, Haber recorded the single No Matter What They Say along with the band Follow Your Instinct.

In the fall of 2013 Haber Rea Garvey replaced as coach at The Voice of Germany. He formed together with Boss Hoss, Nena and Max Herre the jury. Haber took this job two weeks German lessons to improve his language skills.
