Samuel Epstein

Samuel S. Epstein ( born 1926 in England ) is a physician and professor emeritus in Environmental Medicine at the University of Illinois, USA. He became famous for his contributions to environmental medicine and cancer prevention.

Epstein were anonymously leaked private and secret documents of the company Monsanto. These documents showed that an attempt was made to cover the hazards arising from the growth hormone Posilac danger to the community and especially of dairy cattle. Posilac to increase the milk production of dairy cattle. Epstein was finally the one who informed the public about it.

According to his theories today is the increased incidence of cancer by chemicals such as Posilac, located throughout in the environment and accumulate in the food chain, essentially conditioned.

1998 Epstein was honored for " his exemplary academic work and his commitment to prevent pollution- induced cancers," with the Right Livelihood Award.
