Samuel Hadida

Samuel Hadida ( born December 17, 1953 in Casablanca, Morocco ) is a French film producer and distributor.

Life

He attended the renowned film school Institut des Hautes Etudes Cinematographiques ( IDHEC ) in Paris. In 1978 he founded with his brother Victor and father David the rental company Metropolitan Filmexport which he expanded in 1982 to the Videovertrieb Delta video. The company became one of the most successful independent film distributor of English-language films in the French language area.

In 1990 he founded with his brother, Davis Films, a film production company which successfully implemented international projects or co-produced. The first production True Romance 1993 was very successful, so that to this day some 30 productions were realized, for example, Crying Freeman - The Son of the Dragon (1995). In 2006, Samuel Hadida produced the video game adaptation Silent Hill. In the same year Samuel Hadida produced together with Bernd Eichinger the film Resident Evil: Extinction.

He is currently working together with colleague Roger Avary on the film adaptation of the PC game Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
