Samuel Tsegay

Samuel Tsegay ( born February 24, 1988 in Kudofelasi ) is an Eritrean long-distance runner.

2005 Tsegay occupied in the junior race of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Saint- Galmier the 17th Place. In the following two years, he came eighth. In 2006 he was second in the East African Junior Championships and fourth at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Beijing in the 10,000 -meter run.

In the adult area Tsegay held its first 2009 appearance. At the World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh, he finished in 16th place and won with the Eritrean team the bronze medal in the national rankings. After narrowly missing the finals at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 5000 -meter run, he was at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham with a time of 1:00:17 h fifth.

At the World Cross Country Championships 2010 in Bydgoszcz Tsegay finished fifth and won with the Eritrean team the silver medal in the national rankings. He was also fifth. At the World Half Marathon Championships in Nanning in 2010 and won silver with the Eritrean team
